Can't Stop

I SHOULD save this for the Friday Funnies. But I honestly can't stop laughing.
Every time I see this I break down.
The face.
The fist.
The pudgy belly.

This is the best photo I've seen in YEARS.

You're Welcome.

The Friday Funnies

On my Pintrest I have a section called The Funnies, and I love the things I've pinned in there so much, that every Friday, I'm going to do a Friday Funny. Starting now.

And, to get us all headed in the right direction, I'm doing three of them today.
You're a liar if you don't admit to doing some variation of the red part while singing.....

Too awesome for words..... the Harry Potter lover in me swoons.

I may or may not have posted this one already, but doesn't it just make you laugh?

Happy Friday!
Hope you liked The Funnies.

Happy Things

There are a lot of things that make me happy.
These photos are some of those things, for a few reasons.

I NEED a photo like this, I for sure have enough books, I just need a volunteer to take the photo.
Any takers?

I love anything beautiful.
Growing up in Utah, tatoos are largely looked upon as unattractive, sinful, etc.
But I love them (most of them, I still don't understand why people get Winnie the Pooh... so awkward)
and I think this one is extraordinary.

New Teen Fiction novels at Barnes and Noble.
I just found a bn gift card I somehow overlooked.
If you have any book suggestions send them my way.

Decorating my basement right now, and being hugely inspired by photos like this one.

The Dark Hedges

I have a list of places I would like to see in my lifetime.
Some of them make sense - like journeying to the place my ancestors originated from, places of historical value - like Pearl Harbor or Stonehenge.
And others are on the list out of a simple desire to see some place beautiful, or fantastic in some way.
This is one of thost places.

It's The Dark Hedges.
They are in Antrim - Northern Ireland.

A beautiful collection of 300+ year old Beech Trees.
They have grown into a tunnel that spans the length of a road.

I want to visit.
Stand under the boughs, watch the sunlight fade.
Ride slowly below the branches on a vintage bike with a bell.
Just to see it. To be in a place that looks as though it were created for a Grimm Fairytale.
Because, isn't it just wonderful?

Favorite Quote This Week

How lucky can a girl get?

One of my favorite quotes from Tolkien was made into a leather statement cuff.

Swoon?
I think I might.

I ordered this lovely, fingers crossed it arrives on my doorstep soon.

"All that is gold does not glitter, not all those who wander are lost; the old that is strong does not wither, deep roots are not reached by the frost. From the ashes a fire shall be woken, a light from the shadows shall spring; renewed shall be blade that was broken, the crownless again shall be king."
J.R.R. Tolkien

The End of an Era

I'm not lying when I said that July 15th was the happiest and saddest day of my life.

It was (dramatically, I know) the end of a huge chapter in my life.

The last release date of Harry Potter.

I went to the book release parties, dressed up, rode brooms,

and tried to kiss boys dressed up like dementors.

I had my tea leaves read, smooshed a fake Hagrid belly,

and wished that I had a wand of my own.

I was a part of all those staggering opening weekend release numbers for each new film that came out.

I didn't think the first Harry Potter movie was bad like everyone else.

I thought it was amazing.

And nothing was more perfect than Ron Weasley - in print and on screen, what a perfect character match.

The second installment of the Deathly Hallows - it was by far the most fantastic movie I have ever had the privilege of watching. And I was ECSTATIC that I was once again going opening weekend.

I waited in line next to these boys.

Voldemort, Draco, Me, Hermione, Professor Lupin, and Harry Potter.

Hermione was by far my favorite. I HAD to get a picture.

The boy had BOOBS, a wig (but it was black, lol, he did try), he shaved his legs, wore a skirt.

But the best part?

Voldemort & Hermione's tatoos.

I mean COME ON. How much more creative can you get?

I was sad to see the movie end, knowing that it was the last, that I didn't have another one to put in my calendar. No more book releases (come on JK Rowling.... another series please....) no more parties.

Unless I do one of my own....

The Funnies

I have a section on my pinterest page devoted entirely to what I call The Funnies.

This gem is one of the items in that folder.

And you honestly don't need words to describe this, it's just plain awesome.

Bahahahahaa
