Senseless Conversations I want to Remember

I have a few posts from another blog that I'm moving to this one because I don't want to lose them..... this is one of them.

Dayna: Sooo you know Mom's birthday is a week from Saturday right?

Dad: Yeah, I think she's turning ** (edited, you can never know a ladies age...).

Dayna: Is she really **?

Dad: Yeah, I think so....

Dayna: Well, how old are you??

Dad: Ummmmm..... well hell, I dunno.

Dayna: What? Dad, how do you not know how old you are??

Dad: Well, when you get my age, it doesn't really matter how old you are. I think I'm 47...?

Dayna: You think? Dad, what year were you born?

Dad: 1962...

Dayna: Well then yeah, you're 47 dad.

Dad/Dayna: Laughing.

Amy (after hearing above conversation): So wait, is Mom older or younger than Dad?

Dayna: Um, I don't know.

Amy: Well, let's see, she was born in 1942 right?

Dayna: What? Amy, that would make her like 70.

Amy: Oh.... yeah, I guess you're right...

This is why you & I get along -- I too have no concept of years or time, LOL -- and make a total fool of myself when I try to determine how old anyone is. At work - we have to ask the DOB of any caller reporting anything, sometimes they say 'Well, she was born in 1965 ..' and then I have to say 'Ok ............ so how old is she?' -- haha! Love you Aim!
