The Fortress

So I've been wanting to fence in my patio for a while now. It's been on the back burner because it just wasn't necessary. But now, my puppy Phoebe is getting a boyfriend. So, the fence became a necessity. So that they can frolic outside together, not run away, and (fingers crossed) not be eaten by hawks.

I'm not going to let you guys think that I'm THIS handy. Because I'm not. I had help.
But I was told I had to keep my resources under wraps. Which means you don't get to see the fun photos of the fence master who helped me.
sigh.

Progress!

See those slats?? I nailed EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM.
So I am kind of handy.
Yes, you should be impressed.

Aaand it's done. Isn't it lovely? I'm super excited about it. Especially the gate.
Because that gate is super cute.
Now, do I paint it? Do I stain it? Do I leave it?

BTW the title of this post is "The Fortress" because I originally thought that 5.5 feet was the 'perfect height' for the fencing of the patio. Thank goodness I was talked into lowering it, because it would have been a fortress.

This is perfect! I absolutely love it! -- Phoebe and Oliver will too! I kind of loved your idea of painting it black .. although a think a bright color could be fun too! I need to come see in person!
