The Porch

Quick weekend summary: replanted plants, did some projects, went sailing for the first time (oh swoon), another first? My basement flooding because a pipe burst, aaaaand I ran 5.5 miles in an attempt to get ready for the 5K I have this weekend. Now, onto something fun ;).

So I had the below planter on my porch all last year (and I think the year before) I loved it, but the color blended too much with the house.

So, since I got my rocking chairs all put together, I thought it would be a good time to give this little planter an update.

Don't they look so cute?!

I colored the planter with a spray paint called 'Lagoon' I think it was Krylon, even though I normally use Rustoleum brand.

And now, I can chill on the front porch, in my sweet black rocking chairs. Which I did just yesterday, and enjoyed VERY much.

Now, I just need to wait for it to warm up enough for me to fill my beds with flowers. Hate, (HATE) that I have to wait until after Mother's Day.

Happy Monday everyone!

I'm sure you could find some sort of perennials to put in that could handle colder weather. ;) Love the color you chose! xoxo A-

Thanks everyone! And I am going to find some perrennials, STAT.
& Dayna, plenty of stuff got ruined, a lot of my books, some decorations, paintings. Totally sucks. I think I said the eff word about 87 times when I first ran down and was instantly splashing around in these massive puddles of water.

That turquoise planter with the black rockers gives your whole house character! I simply adore the way it looks on your porch :) And sailing sounds smashing, wish I coulda.

Looks FABULOUS! And I'm jealous. My front porch is PERFECT for rocking chairs. In fact, when we saw this house before we bought it - it had 2 rocking chairs on the front porch and it was adorable! SOMEDAY! :o) I LOVE the pot. I MAY have to do that. I HATE HATE HATE the pots that I have - they're the generic red ones that are fairly cheap. I think dressing them up just might be what I should do! Although, planting season here is over (it's too hot). But no one says I have to keep them UGLY on my back patio! :o)

I need to get back into running. I wish the weather here would cooperate. I think changing the color of the planter was the right choice. It's much more fresh now.
